“Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission”
Parents who wish to have their children baptized may attend a Baptism Seminar conducted every first Wednesday of the month at 8pm. They may then register their children for Baptism by submitting the seminar participation certificate along with the couple’s marriage certificate obtained from the Church. If the child’s godparents do not belong to the parish, a letter must be submitted.
The Baptism ceremony is conducted every Thursday. (5:00 PM Registration followed by the Baptism from 5:30 PM). Please contact the parish office for additional details when this Sacrament is given.
Those adults who wish to be baptized or received into the Catholic Church can inquire at the parish office. The Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) course is conducted once every year and meets on a weekly basis. Course typically begins in September and concludes with reception of the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil Mass the following year.
